MHP’s former Women’s Branch Chairperson Prof. Dr. Şennur Şenel passed away at the age of 53. The cause of death of Şenel, who learned that he was receiving treatment in Kayseri, was not disclosed.

In the statement made on the official social media account of the MHP, it was said, “Former Chairman of the MHP Women’s Branch Prof. Dr. Şennur ŞENEL has received God’s mercy. May Allah have mercy on the deceased, our condolences to his family and our community.”
The cause of death of Şenel, who learned that he had been treated at Kayseri City Hospital for a while, was not disclosed.
Şenel will be buried after the funeral prayer that will be held at Talas Dedeoğlu Mosque, following the noon prayer tomorrow.
PROF. DR. WHO IS SENNUR SENEL?
He was born in 1969 in the Gemerek district of Sivas. He completed his primary education at Gemerek Atatürk Primary School in 1981 and his secondary education at Çepni High School.
Between 1987-1991, he studied at Gazi University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of History. In December 1991, he started to work as an assistant specialist at Atatürk Research Center affiliated to Atatürk Culture, Language and History High Institution.
In April 1992, he became a research assistant at Gazi University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of History, Department of Modern History. In 1994, Prof. Dr. He completed his master’s degree with the thesis on “Trade in the Ottomans and the Good Merchant”, which he prepared under the supervision of Rifat Önsoy.
Gazi University Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Modern History, Prof. Dr. He prepared his thesis on “The Socio-Economic Structure of Ankara in the 19th Century” under the supervision of Bahaeddin Yediyıldız.
Between February 2000 and June 2001, he studied Arabic at the Kuwait University Arabic Language Teaching Center as a scholarship student of the Ministry of National Education.
After graduating from Gazi University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of History, he moved to Hacıbayram Veli University.
