Apple’s ‘buy now, pay later’ era

Apple is preparing to introduce a new payment method that offers its customers interest-free installments. By using Apple Pay Later, customers in the USA will have the opportunity to pay for the product they purchased in installments without any additional cost. Customers in Turkey are not yet able to benefit from this offer.

The world-famous technology company Apple plans to implement a new payment system that offers its customers interest-free installments.

Instead of cooperating with a financial institution for the ‘buy now, pay later’ service, it will cover the financial burden of the installment from its own resources. It is expected that the ‘buy now, pay later’ service offered to customers will be implemented with an upper limit. While the service is offered to customers through Apple Wallet, payments must be made via wallet in 4 equal installments spread over 6 weeks.

Apple Pay Later using the Mastercard network is only available to US customers. Customers in Turkey are not yet able to benefit from the ‘buy now, pay later’ campaign. But the buy now, pay later trend is skyrocketing in the tech market. This service has started to be offered by many companies such as PayPal, Affirm and Klarna. In Turkey, many companies have been using this sales method in recent years. In accordance with the agreements made with banks, buy now pay later campaigns are carried out in many sectors from furniture to computers, from white goods to clothing.
