Argentina rocked by 6.8 earthquake

The South American country of Argentina was shaken by the 6.8 magnitude earthquake. No tsunami warning was issued after the earthquake.

The US Geological Survey (USGS) announced that the epicenter of the earthquake, which occurred at a depth of 193.8 kilometers, was 79 kilometers northwest of the San Antonio de los Cobres region in Salta state, near the border with Chile.

While there was no tsunami warning after the earthquake felt in Chile, no loss of life or property has been reported so far.
