Sky News Arabia celebrates its 10th anniversary

Sky News Arabia was launched as a partnership between International Media Investments and Britain’s Sky News, to present its first broadcast on May 6, 2012.

It became “Sky News Arabia” The fastest growing digital news platform in the region, with an audience of more than 37 million people following it on social media channels, and experiencing exceptional levels of interaction. With more than 5 billion views of its digital content in 2021, the news station ranked first in terms of number of views for an Arabic-language news platform.

Attracting distinguished cadres of talent is a very important aspect of the pioneering platform, which is why in 2021 it launched the Sky News Arabia Academy, which includes a specialized center for development and training, with the aim of inspiring and empowering young people and providing them with the communication, media and digital skills they need to shine in this dynamic changing sector.
