The European Union holds a meeting to discuss Ukraine

  • The summit will be attended by the heads of seven countries
  • Czech and Romanian presidents joined the online meeting

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will participate in a summit of the heads of Central and Eastern European countries in Warsaw on Friday dedicated to the Russian attack on Ukraine, according to photos published by the Polish presidency.

The summit will be attended by the heads of seven countries: Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Hungary.

The presidents of the Czech Republic and Romania joined the online meeting.

The President of the European Commission said on Twitter as the meeting began in Warsaw “Today, more than ever, we are determined to hold the Kremlin accountable for its brutal actions and support the Ukrainian people by all possible means.”
