Silence and then mockery.. Mane reveals his conversations with Salah after the final

In an interview with a YouTube channel, Mane confirmed that he was “committed to silence” about the final match with his Liverpool colleague, Mohamed Salah.

Mane said: “You won’t believe me, but so far, Salah and I haven’t talked about the final, because I know he’s frustrated with the defeat.”

Mane had led Senegal to defeat the Egyptian team, led by Salah, in the final of the African Nations, which was held in Cameroon a few weeks ago.

But Mane admitted that he had discussed with Salah the incident of the penalty kick, which Mane missed at the beginning of the meeting.

Salah had gone to Egypt’s goalkeeper, Mohamed Abu Gabal, to give him advice about Mane before paying, but Mane surprised the two and went to them and started talking to the goalkeeper to confuse him.

Mane said: “Salah asked me why did you come to talk to the goalkeeper? I told him because I saw you talking to him, to influence me psychologically, so I also decided to play psychological games and talk to the goalkeeper.”

He described the incident: “I saw him talking to the guard, and I’m sure he didn’t say anything important, so I wanted to play mind games with them too, so I said, ‘Mo, I’ll put it on the right side, tell him I’ll put it on the right side.'”

Mane confirmed that he and Salah laughed about the incident.
