The village was flooded in 1992 with the aim of establishing a water basin in the area, but the basin’s carrying capacity decreased to 15%, which made the village reappear.
The town seemed to still preserve some houses and existing walls, along with old dilapidated cars, although it was submerged by water for 30 years.
The strange ruins attracted large groups of tourists, some of whom discovered the remains of former doors or buttresses as they searched under the half-cracked roofs, or while looking at the bottles outside a structure believed to have been a cafe in the past.
