For the first time in its history, Chelsea win the Club World Cup

Germany’s Kai Havertz won the European champions after scoring a penalty kick in the 117th minute.

Romelu Lukaku gave Chelsea the lead in the 54th minute, and ten minutes later Rafael Vega equalized for the South American champions with a penalty kick.

Palmeiras completed the match with ten men after Luan was sent off, who caused the penalty kick that came from Chelsea’s victory, in stoppage time for overtime.

It is noteworthy that this is the first time that Chelsea won the title in its history in its second participation after 2012.

Earlier in the day, Al-Ahly of Egypt, the African champion, won the bronze medal for the second time in a row, after its 4-0 victory over Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia, the Asian champion.
