According to the British newspaper, The Independent, Mane believes that the experience factor enhances the chances of Senegal against Egypt.
The Teranga Lions have never won the African Cup of Nations, but they return for the second time to the final, while they lost in the last final against Algeria, in 2019.
“Experience is a good element,” said Mane, who scored his third goal in the tournament last Wednesday, during a match against Burkina Faso that ended 3-1.
He added that this has been the case since the beginning of the current African Championship, which is being held in Cameroon.
And Mane continued, “We have suffered a lot, in light of the large number of infections with the emerging coronavirus, in addition to the occurrence of several infections.”
“We had a hard time, we kept calm thanks to the experience we had accumulated, until everyone recovered,” Mane added.
Sadio Mane indicated that Senegal played the final in the previous African Nations Cup, and therefore, the “Teranga Lions” have the experience, “and we will try to win the title.”
On Sunday, Mane will play against his Liverpool colleague, Mohamed Salah, who fans of the Egyptian team are also betting heavily on, in order to lead the Pharaohs to the eighth African Cup.
